In the Pueblo Magico of Todos Santos live some artists of rare talent and drive. One of those is Amanda Aileen Fisher, whose women's writing circle, which first gathered in her living room during the pandemic, has transformed into a pulsing force in the town, rivaling established writer's workshops with her unique method of seeing past the traditional patterns of grammar, and dipping into the subconscious as the source of authentic writing and expression.
After three years of growing the cirlce, she was ready to scale. And so this year, we sat down to sketch out the strategy of the business itself- what to launch when, how much, how to share it, and what to tackle first. Holding a steady support for when questions or appropriations came to the fore, I was able to support her vision through to its expansion. Let's not get it twisted- Amanda is a force of an artist and entrepreneur, and she held the day-to-days, but it was our strategy sessions and ongoing on-call support that allowed for the leader to lead, and breathe into her next iteration.
