Naomi Cohen-Thompson has been a working artist for over 27 years and a practicing art therapist for nearly 20.
Until recently, she had never formally shared her personal or professioinal work online. The task was to create a digital home that honored both her visual art and her therapeutic practice, without compromising the integrity of either. Rather than separating these two parts of her life, the approach was to acknowledge the ways they inform one another—an integrated expression of one creative and clinical voice.
The result is a restrained, immersive website that leads with presence. The layout invites visitors to experience the work rather than navigate through distraction. Video elements differentiate her portfolio, and subtle UX choices provide pathways for commission inquiries and client connection.
Working with minimal assets and a strong underlying vision, the design stretched what was possible with a simple build. The site now acts as an open door—welcoming, intentional, and fully aligned with Naomi’s unique approach to both art and healing.
This foundational project also opened space for deeper public engagement (see our Decompression Art Club case study). It created the clarity needed to expand into new channels and offerings, all while remaining grounded in the authenticity of her voice and practice.
