Philip Stites and Patricia Sims are fixtures in the world of world-class antiques, 20th-century design, and custom furniture. Together, they continue to shape the Los Angeles design scene through decades of bold curation, enduring partnerships, and an eye for historical significance.

Their latest move marks another chapter. With the opening of a new design lab in Los Angeles and a dual-gallery space in the La Cienega Design Quarter, the duo is establishing a unique narrative of the past and future in perfect presence. Alongside the ongoing work of Philip Stites Antiques, they launched a new imprint: PSMADE: a space for forward-looking design collaborations rooted in historical craft and techniques.

Nicacelly supported the brand naming, developed the PSMADE logo, and built a clean, editorial-style site that could house both storytelling and logistics. The site includes a private press portal with downloadable assets for industry professionals and design media, and acts as a digital front door to the gallery’s refined, intentional collections.

Recently (2024/5), they have partnered with some of the most legendary weavers, forgers, and leather makers -literally in the world (see: Gainsborough and Villa Savoia), and have opened up not just their antiques and in-house furniture collectoins, but also are now a showroom for the finest drapery, upholstery, hardware, and eglomise mirrors, to name a few.

Please check them out here.

Launched 2022, Refreshed 2025

Special thanks to Justin Christopher and Victor Koroma for their elegant visuals, and to Electric Pony Studios for providing the space that helped it all come together.

Nicacelly has been an invaluable and unflinching guide through the seemingly endless circle of collateral material required to launch my website, www.philipstites.com (and now, PSMADELA.COM).  With a knowledge-based, but also a creative outside the box approach, she moved the process along in a very timely and well thought out manner.

Each step of the way a considered step, before moving to the next.  It has been a great pleasure to not only work with Nicole but to simply get to know her a bit.

From one of the lucky,

Philip Stites
